Biography

Amol Deshmukh is a Quantum Computational Scientist at IBM Quantum. In his past data science role, he analyzed –and built machine learning models on– billions of customers financial transactions data to help optimize the effectiveness of the sales and marketing campaigns at one of the leading retail banks.

Before beginning his career as a Data Scientist, he completed his Ph.D. in Physics from The Graduate Center, CUNY in New York. During his Ph.D. years he applied the theory of Quantum Chromodynamics to investigate the magnetic properties of short-lived particles, called baryons.
